WORKING SIXTY HOURS A WEEK RIGHT NOW, NURSES SHORTAGE AND ALL(THAT'S FIVE SHIFTS FROM 7P TO 7A FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW) SO AM ALREADY ON A SHORT FUSE...MADE A MISTAKE OF TAKING SOME TIMEOUT TO SURF THE NET A BIT AND RAN ACROSS A BLOG (THAT WILL REMAIN NAMELESS) WHO LISTED HER TOP TEN SEXIEST MEN ON NIGHT-TIME TELEVISION. VINCENT WAS NOT NUMBER ONE, HE WASN'T EVEN LISTED. BEING THERE WAS NO COMMENT BOX I E-MAILED HER SIMPLY SAYING THAT MY LIST WOULD HAVE INCLUDED MR. D'ONOFRIO AND HE WOULD BE FIRST ON MY LIST CERTAINLY ABOVE DAVID CARUSO-NOT PUTTING DOWN MR. CARUSO's acting ability but sexiness? THAT'S ALL I SAID, I SWEAR.

I GOT A PAGE OF VULGARITY BACK CALLING ME NAMES FOR ATTACKING HER CHOICES (WHAT ATTACK????) AND ENDING WITH THESE WORDS.

"I SAID THE TOP TEN SEXIEST MEN ON NIGHT-TIME TELEVISION NOT THE MOST UNTALENTED, FATTEST, UGLIEST ONES."

I ALMOST HAD AN ANEURYSM. AND STARTED TO RESPOND WHEN I FOLLOWED MY OWN ADVICE, WHEN ATTACKED..THINK ABOUT IT. ITS HER BLOG...I JUST WON'T EVER GO THERE AGAIN. THANK GOODNESS SHE HAD E-MAIL COMMENTS. I CAN BLOCK HER ADDRESS. BUT IF SHE HAD MY BLOG THEN SHE'D ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO ALL OF THE BLOGS I LINK TO.

TELL ME DID I DO RIGHT BY NOT WRITING HER BACK AND ASKING HER IF SHE'D EVER EVEN SEEN THE BODY OF WORK OUR MAN HAS DONE? AND LOOK AT THIS FACE. EVEN AT ITS SCRUFFIEST WHEN HE WAS ON SUSPENSION IN PURGATORY IS HE NOT ADORABLE.

OK, you so did the right thing in not replying to her - the problem is obviously hers. You are not responsible for how she responds to replies to her blog!

You have no way of knowing if her dog just got run over or she just lost her crummy four-bucks-an-hour job at McDonalds, or if her neighbour stole her Sunday newspapers, or if her husband just got arrested for molesting chimpanzees at Bronx Zoo. Or whatever.

Plus, you're tired, and you have been working very hard. You went on-line to get a little R & R before retiring ... yeah, I get that. The last thing you expected was to be caught up in the middle of this stupid woman's Very Bad Day.

Her response was childish and obviously an over-reaction. Your response was mature and KEWL.

Vincent is the kind of guy who inspires very strong feelings in people. For most of us who comment here, he is WONDERFUL. People who have worked with him have a mixed response, but the overwhelming number of people I spoke to when I was researching stuff for Team 13 LOVED THE FRIKKIN' PANTS OFF HIM. And I am talking about men, women, children, gay straight or undecided. But I imagine that there have to be an equal number of unfortunate people for whom he is just an over-rated, over-weight, over-paid middle-aged scruff bag of a man who shuffles around and mumbles his line.

See, some people just don't GET him! Irritating though this is, personally I just feel really sorry for those folks, because they are really missing out on some of the best and most in-depth character acting of our generation. Plus, these people are missing out on the wonderful friendship that I have discovered in many of his fans. Take strength in that. Based on what you've told us about her response, who do you think might have more on-line mates - her or you???

Pity her. Let her silly childish slings and arrows fly RIGHT OVER YOUR HEAD.

How can she say Vincent is untalented? He is a VERY good actor! I admit he looked better in earlier CI seasons. Since he portrayed Orsen Wells, he resembles Orsen too much, and can't seem to lose that look.

He doesn't inspire great passion in me, but then, no man does, however I enjoy his character of Goren, and his performance on the show.

We all age. Bet she has too. And when you gain weight for a role at 45 its a lot harder to lose than at 25 or even 35. Men have a middle agre spread also unless they like women work out every day and follow a strict diet. When you work 18 hours a day for 6 days every other week that's just not possible.

And as a TALENTED character actor he doesn't need to look 30 at 50.

I love him no matter what he looks like. I think he's sexy.

i fully understand your work situation. i have three friends who are nurses and are ever so greatful that they still have jobs considering the way hospitals are so free handed w/ cutbacks. When my dad was in the hospial, i got to see first hand at jus how hard your job is. Thank you for doing what you do...Peace

Thanks for the suppport and PLEEZZ donot get me started on the nursing shortage getting worse and worse as the baby boomers retire. They make up over half the work force and new nurses only about a third last a year. Kids today won['t put up with the crap from families patients and administration not to mention the gods of the Hospitals--doctors.

You definitely did the right thing. A response would be a waste of your precious time and make her think her opinions are more important than they really are. My daughter doesn't understand my obsession with the talented and oh so sexy Mr. D'Onofrio, but she respects my feelings and would never say anything bad about our Vincent. She hasn't figured out how to pronounce his name yet so I get to hear a lot of really funny attempts! I have yet to figure out how some people can enjoy being nasty and spiteful to others. I believe they must really hate themselves so much that they must try to make others feel as bad as they do. For myself, I refuse to allow them to bring me down. Life is too short. Instead I just go to all you guys' Vincent sites and enjoy your pictures, videos and thoughts. Keep up the great work everyone! Someday maybe I'll take some extra time and learn how to make a video or picture show. LOVE the cat icon! Keep up your blogging, because I may not respond much, but I read all the great Vincent blogs everyday when I get home from work in the morning. I imagine there are many others like me out there too. As a huge fan of David Caruso, I'm so sorry to hear that you received an unpleasant response from someone running a blog that focuses on him.

I am also a huge fan of Mr. D'Onofrio.

I've found that both of these gentlemen fall under the category of actors that when people express an opinion there is really no middle ground. It's either a very positive or very negative response. There is no gray area.

They are both extremely talented, very intense and very focused actors. And boy do I get a lot of grief for liking them! :-)

I also believe that they are both very handsome and sexy - in their own way and for different reasons.

I try to let negative comments roll and remember that what's important is how much I truly enjoy the marvelous performances that these men work so hard to share with us.

Again, I'm truly sorry and I hope that you don't let this experience color your ability to enjoy Mr. Caruso's performances.

I actually like David Caruso. And I know he refuses to wear makeup in the hard California sun. So, he hardly is going to look like a movie star...I liked him on NYPD BLUE. And unlike some of the comments I've gotten I do think Caruso can act.

But I met him in person and though he is very charming he is a small man. I like men who are BIG with broad shoulders and acres of Back. This started when I was a child and fell in love with John Wayne. SO Mr. D'onofrio would be on the top of my list.

I had the same experience over on "proboards" and have been banned because I didn't like their bashing of Mr. & Mrs. D.

"They" have their opinion and "WE" have ours. (Obiviously, WE know who's right and who has their collective heads up their asses!)

Chiming in... Yes, you did the exact, right thing. Ignoring, taking the high ground, is always the best way. Very hard to do sometimes, understandably so! But you're a winner, in every sense of the word.

Vincent is just... indescribably handsome, hot, erotic, etc, etc, etc. I've been a long time fan but am new to all his fan blogs and fiction (although not new to the net - just have an autistic son and was consumed with that for many years) anyway, am really impressed with the creativity, talent and intelligence of the fan base here. The writing and videos and blogs are just terrific! I mean really excellent. Your blog, all the blogs, they're works of art!

Don't let this bitter little creepy crawler get you down! Think of all the joy you bring to people. And for every bit of feedback you get, there are thousands (and more) of people you don't hear from.
