From the USA Today Newspaper. Please tell me I am reading this that Jeff's eight episodes will air first and it will be NINE WEEKS after APRIL 19 BEFORE WE SEE BOBBY.

"The USA Network announced its summer lineup today, which gets a jump start when it begins on Sunday April 19. The lineup kicks off with the eighth season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The 16 episode season will star Jeff Goldblum in the lead role for half of the season, and then Vincent D’Onofrio will return for the last half."

If true and Goldblum screws it up like his last show--would they cancel it before we got to the Bobby episodes?

WHAT???!!! okay...I can't logically rationalize that one.

I hope that was a mis-qoute or something because it could seriously kill the ratings if they don't alternate -- there's plenty of fans who never bothered watching the Logan episodes.

Though I still think they would air the G/E eps that are done filming reguardless....

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

I hope its mis information also. CI is Bobby. The rating for Noth even dropped aa couple of points from Vincents. Lets hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

If we interpret that right, it's completely insane! They are definitely going to lose viewers by airing JG's episodes first.

I can't help but to think that it's just badly put, though - what they could mean is merely that Goldblum is doing half and that VDO is back for his 8th season, doing the other half. Or maybe I'm just in denial?

I'm guessing it's a misquote. Hoping it's a misquote. I'm actually pretty psyched to see what Goldblum does (Idk what he's done lately, but he's done great character parts in the past and this could be a comeback), but dumping all his episodes out first seems kinda dumb. CI doesn't rotate casts like the mothership and with Noth gone, they'd be relying on whatsherface, Wheeler, to pull people in. Goldblum's a catch but not ~that~ big a catch. Anyway. I'd wait for the network to confirm.

That looks like a misquoting of the more official Variety article which said Goldblum is in half and D'Onofrio is in the other half. Some seem to think they're starting the season with a Goldblum ep, but I am not convinced of that yet. The Variety article bothered me because it says Goldblum is positioned as the "main star", meaning that the female stars don't count apparently.

Now USA has a MOVIE STAR they are giving Goldblum everything he wants. But Mr. Movie star has already bombed one show. Supposedly the article was from a scheduling executive at USA.

I don't know what the whole deal with all of this is. It all just seems so overly complicated when it should be very straight forward. But who am I to say?
I guess we shall all find out when it finally airs.
I hope that this is just a misquote on USA's part.
Although, my hopes are not that high.
