It happened so fast, no time to think.
Pulling a cigarette from his inside jacket pocket. Put it between his lips and turned slightly to face a twenty-two pointed at his face...by his partner.
“Alex?”
“I’ve warned you...I’ve had enough of your sneaking into the alley to smoke. You think you don’t stink of it.”
His eyes widened as she pulled the hammer back, there was a spark as it fired. Flame shot out the barrel lighting the end of the cigarette. Bobby collapsed back against the building.
“Blow smoke rings with that, Goren.” she shot over her shoulder walking away pocketing the lighter.
