basricSPIN OFF from STARGATE STARGATE OLYMPUS
SYNOPSIS:
The Daedalus due to a hyper-drive glitch comes out of hyper-drive near a massive spaceship. No signs of life, a team is sent over to investigate.
The team splits up one searching for the commander center one scientist investigates a small alcove of equipment and computers. There he finds s large GLYPH like those on the Stargate and a manual in a language unknown to him. He stuffs the glyph and notebook into his backpack and continues to investigate.
Meanwhile the other find the control room and trying to retrieve information from the ship's computer sets off a countdown to self-destruct. They are beamed back onto the Daedalus and re-enter hyperspace just as the ship explodes taking half the galaxy with it.
Back at STARGATE COMMAND scientists are able to translate only a portion of the manual. They discover the GLYPH actually attaches to Earth's. When activated it is suppose to connect to Mt. Olympus. A discussion of Greek Mythology ensues and it is decided to send an unmanned pod into the activated wormhole.
The pod enters a cavernous dark room, no signs of life but full life support. It is decided that much like with Atlantis a team would be assembled and sent through to Stargate Olympus.

Three CHARACTERS:
1. Dr. Gabriel Montgomery (Billy Zane) is named team leader. Dr. Montgomery has several PhD's in Physiology, Computer Science and Archeology along with an M.D. in Psychiatry. A leader in his field with the highest clearance. He has a record for pushing the envelope. The people who worked for him were always unflinchingly loyal. Never married, no children, no ties, he is ruggedly good-looking, tall with piercing green eyes.
Takes good care of his body. Never been off-world, just appraised of the Stargate Program but presented with this opportunity grabbed it with both hands.
2. Colonel Nicholas O'Hara (Andreas Wilson) is the military liaison is a forty something year old with 15 years leading a marine seal team. Excellent shape, tested genius IQ. Experience with unknown terrain. Has been off world with several teams on various missions. Has never lost a man. Experience in exploring the unknown. Has walked the gray line many times between black and white sometimes bordering on insubordination but gets the job done and his men follow him without hesitation. He is chosen to lead the security and exploration teams. Men who have served under his command believe he is one of those people who lack the fear gene.
3. Dr. Johnny Richards (Edward Speleers) the computer whiz hired right from MIT. No computer Trojan or virus cannot be destroyed by him. He is know as a computer whisperer. A handsome true geek who loves all the intricacies of ancient computer workings, has the ancient gene and a magic touch with all technology. Shy and keeps to himself unless he gets on a tear with some new technological fine, then he shines.
4. Dr. Emily Johnson (Emile de Ravin) is the team's medical doctor. Specializing in trauma medicine she was the first choice for the mission. Just out of a messy divorce she jumps at the chance to join the mission.
5. Lieutenant Robert Mallory (Shahid Kapoor) is Colonel O'Hara's second in command. A follow orders to a tee kind of guy. Has a no nonsense approach to his professional and personal life. Orphaned at ten he leaves no one behind on Earth.

DAY ONE

The Team has been assembled in Antarctica with Dr. Gabriel Montgomery heading the expedition. Everyone gathered at the gate. Dr. Montgomery gave the pep speech and reminded them they were all volunteers and it was possible there might not be a return Stargate back so if anyone wished to stay behind, it was understood.
The excitement built as Colonel O’Hara and Lt. Mallory led twenty-five soldiers with full packs into the gate. Dr. Montgomery followed with Dr Caruthers and her medical team pushing medical supplies into the blueness. The computer and science teams led by Dr. Ben Davids and Johnny Richards disappeared after them.
Colonel O’Hara and his military company stepped into a darkened room that lit as they moved forward.
It was actually awe-inspiring, columns rising a hundred feet above them to a transparent bubble ceiling sliding down and disappearing into darkness. Through the darkness, stars and planets winked and twinkled at them.
“Spread out,” he yelled to his men as they proceeded deeper into the room. Stair led up into darkness and the Lieutenant followed them behind his Colonel. At the top of the stairs a control room was found.
“Don’t touch anything. Wait for the geeks. Remember what happened on the ship. We don’t want a countdown started with no place for us to go.
Montgomery looked down and paused. The last of the expedition were entering through a center Stargate. However three Stargates stood on either side of the center one.

“Sir,” Johnny addressed Dr. Montgomery, “Here is a floor plan of the entire ship.”
“So it is a ship?”
“Yes Sir, a ship about the size of a small planet.”
Looking over the schematics, “Colonel here, here and here look like living quarters and here is the Power Source for the entire place.”
“A z. p. m.?”
Dr. Davids pushed a couple of buttons and another schematic of the power room popped up, “No, we will need to go down and take a closer look.”
Dr. Montgomery gave assignments to the team leaders and pointed on the screen to a conference room, “We meet back here in two hours in this conference room.”

They sat speaking quietly among themselves until the Colonel and Dr. Montgomery strode into the room together.
“Dr. Davids?”
“We haven’t identified what the power source is but it appears to be completely charged and from the readings I’d say we have unlimited power for whatever we need. Life support and gravity is appears to have remained constant.”
“Whoever or whatever was here before has been gone for hundreds maybe thousands of years.”
“Guys?” the medical doctor cut in, “I’m not sure but I believe the paintings I found in a gallery on the eleventh floor looked an awful lot like painting I have seen of the Greek Gods of Mythology.”
“You mean like Zeus?”
“Yes. These may be the ancestors of the ancients.”
“We have plenty of time then to explore what that means, if they ascended or just left through one of the Stargates. Someone has been appointed to assign quarters and Dr. Davids is working on finding the return code to Earth. We also found a working garden center--gone wild but we have someone assessing it as we speak.”
“Our priorities now are finding a weapons center, where the hell in the universe we are and how to fly this thing.”
“Let’s call it a night. The Colonel has assigned roving security for the night. We will gather again at O eight hundred and plan our day. Goodnight gentlemen, Doctor he nodded at Jillian. They rose and each headed for there assigned quarters.
In the gallery the paintings of the Gods glowed with a renewed light.
