After the flood my family bought me this computer which even though its an ACER ??? has served me ell enough. It has survived a major Trojan attack figured out and saved by my daughter.

Now Firefox and Norton refuse to work. Till late in the afternoon I had no internet at all. At least Chrome and that awful E are working. I am not patient by nature, not when it comes to the internet.

After all the problems with LJ I do not need this. My daughter spent most of the day working on it. She got my internet back but FireFox has my passwords automatically stored (not my bank or shopping, but everything else.

I need a drink and I don't mean a coke I mean a DRINK and I don't drink anymore but wine here and there. The only alcohol in the house is my husbands scotch and even if i is single blend Blahhhck.

I am hoping the things I post actually post, Good luck for me. SCREAMMMM......OKAY breathe...ohmmmmmmmmmmmmm...no SCREAM.

My daughter has an Acer and hasn't had any issues with it. I have an HP and LOVE mine. The Toshiba I had before this I didn't care for.

I hope you get your issues fixed though.

My daughter has an HP and has had MANY issues with it including having to get a new hard drive from Packard...twice. Her last on the hinges broke and where it is plugged in went wonky and they wanted $400 to fix it--she bough a new one. My last was an HP and I had to have the wireless card replaced. The three cords the bird chewed was not covered under warranty(= My Acer has done fine until now--2 weeks after the warranty expired.

Hubby is a MAC man. He swears by them, but I can buy two Acers for what a 17 inch screen with blue ray capability costs in one mac of the same size.

Computer issues are never fun. I am so glad you have your internet back though! :)

My sister in law has an Acer and she loves hers. My computer is a Dell. My old one was an HP. If you get a new laptop I don't recommend Hp only because of how much trouble I had with mine and how little help they wanted to give me.

I hope everything straightens out with your computer soon! On a high note LJ seems back to normal for the most part....

Oy, computer problems are no fun at all. I have been happy with my Toshiba's so far with no issues at all. The desktop is an Acer and runs like a dream when I think to turn it on.

HUGS, at least you have people around with computer knowledge. It's always good to heve these. I'm not good in PC stuff as well.

For a drink, a tip from me as never alcohol drinker: don't drink the scotch of your husband. Enter a nice beach bar (even in cities without the ocean there are beach bars) or another nice location and get a fruity and nommy cocktail.

I settled for a cherry zero coke. Don't care for fruity drinks though I like Long Island Teas. But didn't feel like getting dressed to go out--never scotch blahck.

Can't get my Firefox or Norton to connect with the internet. Can't figure out why. Daughter can't figure out why--I hate chrome.
