MEMORIAL WEEKEND

HAVE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE THREE DAY WEEKEND. WHETHER YOU MUST WORK OR ARE OUT CELEBRATING AND HONORING OUR MILITARY SERVICE PEOPLE PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, BE ALERT ON THE WATER, DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE AND PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE OTHER GUY. THIS AND LABOR DAY WEEKEND ARE THE TWO BIGGEST TRANSPLANT WEEKENDS OF THE YEAR. I DON'T WANT ANY OF YOU OR YOURS TO BE ONE OF THE STATISTICS. HAVE FUN BUT BE SAFE.

As a pedestrian in a highly populated suburb of DC I'm always very conscious of these times. I refuse to go anywhere on New Year's Eve for example..and safety is a big part of that.

You be safe yourself. If you're working this weekend, well, I can only hope that it's not too busy, but that might be wishful thinking. *sad smile*

No lunch last night 13 hours on my feet. Just home, have to go back tonight by p.m. Water accidents drunks driving boats. Kids swimming, diving not coming back up--drowning. LOTS of burns from cookouts. I am thankful I don't work Children's Hospital Trauma. Adult will be bad enough. Mainly, no matter how careful you are someone is drinking or sleepy or texting and runs over you.

Eight drunk driving accidents last night.
