It becomes frustrating. When they know in the field a patient is dying, they must bring him to us as long as he is alive even if he dies as they bring him in the door. That night was harrowing and aggravating, you feel like you are fighting the hand of death most of the time, but this time each one was hopeless. The guy who had been cut in half, was thankfully in a coma when he reached us. A tip off for the resident that he was in severe shock. Thanks for reading and commenting.
