I lose my temper with new residents and nurses. I have to be careful with doctors because legally and ethically I am suppose to follow their orders. But I have refused to do something I thought was wrong and ended up having to give depositions in court because I charted it and the family's attorney subpoena the nurses notes after a patient dies or ends up with a permanent injury. The hospital administration is not happy with the resident when they lose. So far, I have been right when it's gone through litigation but because of the times I have gone to court with my insurance's attorney, my rates go up. The only insurance higher than a trauma nurse is OB/delivery nurses.

Callous, I am myself. There a residents that have no bedside manner nor person skills at all.
